About Our Services

What is the difference between virtual AI automation and physical AI automation?

Virtual AI automation focuses on digital work. This includes AI chatbots,
voice agents, avatar agents, email automation, browser workflows, CRM
automation, marketing systems, and AI training data services.

Physical AI automation focuses on systems that operate in real-world
environments. This can include robots, sensors, cameras, teleoperation,
robot training data, warehouse automation, industrial inspection, security
monitoring, educational robots, agriculture, and smart-home workflows.

The two can work together. For example, a virtual AI agent can receive a
request, check a business system, notify an operator, and trigger an
approved workflow for a connected physical device or robot.

What services does The OT Automations Agency offer?

Do you work with clients worldwide?

Yes. We provide remote-first consulting, workflow design, data services,
implementation planning, and integration support for clients worldwide.
Some physical robotics deployments may require local partners, vendor
technicians, site visits, or client-provided personnel depending on the
equipment, location, regulations, and project scope.

Do you sell robots, AI software, or hardware directly?

Our primary role is consulting, workflow design, AI and robotics
integration planning, implementation support, training-data services, and
pilot development. We can help evaluate and select software, models,
hardware, robotic platforms, and service providers based on your use case.

When appropriate, we may act as a reseller, referral partner, or
implementation partner for selected platforms. Any such commercial
relationship will be disclosed during the project discussion.

Cloud, Hybrid & Local LLMs

Why should I consider an alternative to cloud-only AI?

Cloud AI is useful for many workloads, especially when you need quick
access to leading hosted models, elastic capacity, or minimal hardware
management. However, cloud-only AI can create recurring usage costs,
vendor dependence, internet-connectivity requirements, and data-governance
concerns as usage grows.

We help clients decide whether cloud, hybrid, or local AI is the best fit
for each workflow. The answer depends on data sensitivity, expected usage,
response-time requirements, existing infrastructure, budget, compliance,
and internal technical capacity.

What is the difference between cloud, hybrid, and local LLM deployment?

Cloud LLMs run on a third-party provider’s infrastructure.
They are typically fast to start, can provide access to advanced models, and
are billed through usage, subscriptions, or API pricing.

Local or on-premise LLMs run on hardware you control, such
as a workstation, GPU server, edge computer, or private data center. They
can reduce external data sharing and recurring API-token charges, but they
require hardware, setup, power, cooling, security, maintenance, monitoring,
and technical support.

Hybrid LLM deployments combine both approaches. For
example, sensitive internal documents and repeatable tasks can be handled
locally, while cloud models handle selective high-complexity, multilingual,
or peak-demand work. A routing and governance layer determines what data
can go where.

Will local AI eliminate all costs?

No. Local AI can reduce or remove cloud API token charges for workloads
that run locally, but it is not free. You should plan for hardware,
electricity, cooling, networking, storage, backups, implementation,
maintenance, monitoring, model updates, security, and technical support.

Local AI tends to be most compelling for stable, high-volume, privacy-sensitive,
or low-latency workloads. Cloud AI can be more economical for occasional,
unpredictable, or highly elastic workloads. Hybrid architecture is often a
practical middle ground.

Is local or on-premise AI automatically private and secure?

Local deployment gives your organization more control over where data is
processed, but privacy and security still depend on the entire system.
Access controls, network design, device security, authentication, logs,
backups, permissions, connected databases, integrations, and staff
practices all matter.

We can help design a local-first architecture, but clients should also use
appropriate IT, security, privacy, and legal professionals for their
specific compliance obligations.

Can you help us choose and configure local AI hardware?

Yes. We can help assess your workflows and recommend suitable hardware
options, including AI workstations, GPU servers, edge devices, storage,
networking, and supporting software. Recommendations depend on the models
you want to run, number of users, expected traffic, response-time targets,
privacy needs, budget, and future growth plans.

Virtual AI Automation

Can you help with AI training data annotation?

Yes. We provide AI training data annotation and quality-assurance services
for text, conversations, emails, voice recordings, images, documents, and
other domain-specific datasets. This can support model training, fine-tuning,
evaluation, intent classification, conversational AI, and knowledge-base
improvement.

Can you build AI chatbots and customer-support agents?

Yes. We design and integrate customer-support automation for website chat,
messaging, email, and knowledge bases. Depending on the project, an agent
can answer common questions, collect information, route requests, retrieve
approved business information, create tickets, and hand complex or sensitive
cases to a human team member.

Can you build AI voice agents for inbound phone calls?

Yes. AI voice agents can support repeatable phone workflows such as
after-hours answering, customer-service triage, appointment booking,
reminders, FAQs, call routing, lead intake, and follow-up. We recommend
beginning with limited, low-risk call types and clear escalation rules.

Can AI voice agents be used for outbound sales or marketing calls?

Yes, AI voice agents can support selected outbound workflows such as
appointment reminders, event confirmations, lead follow-up, reactivation,
renewal outreach, and initial qualification. However, outbound calling is
subject to telemarketing, consent, recording, disclosure, privacy, and
other laws that vary by country, state, and industry.

Clients remain responsible for ensuring campaigns, phone lists, disclosures,
recording practices, and outreach rules are legally compliant. We recommend
working with qualified legal or compliance counsel before launching any
outbound calling campaign.

Can you add an AI avatar to our customer-support or onboarding experience?

Yes. An avatar agent can add a visual interface to an AI workflow for video
support, customer onboarding, product demonstrations, training, concierge
experiences, or internal knowledge assistance. The underlying workflow can
combine speech-to-text, an LLM, text-to-speech, a knowledge base, business
system integrations, and a human escalation path.

Can AI agents access our CRM, email, calendar, or knowledge base?

Often, yes. We can design integrations with approved systems such as CRMs,
ticketing platforms, calendars, email tools, databases, documents, and
knowledge bases. Access should follow least-privilege principles, which
means an agent should receive only the permissions necessary to perform its
approved role.

Physical AI & Robotics

Can you help with robot training data and VR teleoperation?

Yes. We can support robot training-data planning, data collection,
annotation, and VR teleoperation workflows. Teleoperation allows a human
operator to guide a robot remotely, record demonstrations, handle
exceptions, and help generate data for embodied AI and robotics projects.

Can robots run AI locally without constant cloud connectivity?

In some cases, yes. Compatible robots and edge computers can run selected
AI models, vision systems, control software, or local language-model
components on-device or within a local network. This can reduce latency,
improve resilience during connectivity problems, and keep selected
operational data local.

What can run locally depends on the robot platform, sensors, processor or
GPU capacity, battery limits, safety system, task complexity, model size,
and required reliability. We help define realistic local, hybrid, and
cloud-enabled options for a specific use case.

What types of robotics projects do you support?

We support planning and integration for warehouse logistics, industrial
inspection, security patrol, visitor reception, manufacturing, educational
robotics, agricultural monitoring, smart-home automation, and robot
training-data workflows.

Our services may include use-case evaluation, workflow design, platform
comparison, pilot planning, data and software integration, local AI
architecture, operating procedures, training, and performance measurement.

Do you recommend humanoid robots for every physical task?

No. The best robot depends on the task, environment, payload, speed,
precision, safety requirements, floor conditions, charging needs, budget,
integration requirements, and expected return on investment.

In many cases, a fixed industrial robot, cobot, autonomous mobile robot
(AMR), automated guided vehicle (AGV), drone, camera system, sensor, or
software-only workflow may be more practical than a humanoid robot. We take
a vendor-neutral approach and focus on the technology that fits the actual
work.

How do you approach robotics safety?

Physical automation should be designed with safety and human oversight from
the start. A project should consider the task, people in the environment,
workspace layout, robot operating limits, emergency-stop procedures,
barriers or safety zones, sensors, charging, maintenance, training, privacy,
incident response, and applicable standards or regulations.

We support workflow and pilot planning, but the client remains responsible
for site safety, operational approval, regulatory compliance, and the
qualified professionals required for a particular installation.

Working With Us

How do you start an AI or robotics project?

We recommend beginning with one clearly defined workflow that is repetitive,
costly, slow, difficult to staff, risky, or difficult to scale. We then
identify the people, process, data, systems, infrastructure, safeguards,
and metrics needed for a focused pilot.

  1. Discover: Understand the workflow, pain point, and desired outcome.
  2. Design: Define the AI, automation, integration, data, hardware, privacy, and safety requirements.
  3. Pilot: Test a limited use case with clear goals, reporting, and human oversight.
  4. Deploy: Integrate the validated solution, train users, and document operations.
  5. Improve: Review results, refine the workflow, and expand only when the business case supports it.

What information should I provide when I contact you?

Tell us about the process you want to improve, the current pain point, your
industry, the tools you already use, your data/privacy requirements, your
expected timeline, and whether you are considering virtual AI automation,
physical automation, or a combination of both.

Helpful examples include: “We miss after-hours customer calls,” “Our support
team answers the same questions repeatedly,” “We want a private internal
AI assistant,” “We need to label training data,” or “We want to evaluate
robots for a warehouse inspection route.”
